Responsibilities
- Lead formulation development for new skincare, haircare, wellness, and food products using natural and organic ingredients.
- Conduct ingredient compatibility studies, stability testing, and shelf-life evaluations.
- Source and evaluate raw materials — botanical extracts, essential oils, natural preservatives — for efficacy and safety.
- Work with the production team to scale lab formulations into manufacturing-ready batches.
- Ensure all formulations meet FSSAI, BIS, and cosmetic regulatory standards.
- Document research findings, batch records, and formulation specs for compliance and knowledge retention.
Requirements
- M.Sc. / M.Tech in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cosmetic or food product formulation.
- Deep knowledge of natural emulsifiers, actives, and preservation systems.
- Familiarity with GMP environments and regulatory documentation.
- Bonus: experience with Ayurvedic or traditional Indian ingredients.
